How To Cure Insomnia – Simple Methods You Can Follow

Avoid excitants like caffeine (seen in cola, tea and chocolate) and inordinate sugar. Use caution when taking medications, as many of them speed up the metabolism and, thus make it harder to fall asleep. This is particularly true for sinus pills and diet pills. The increased metabolism can last for hours after taking the medication. Check with the doctor about any prescription one is taking.Restricting products containing nicotine is another way a person can get an answer for how to cure insomnia. It is especially important to avoid these products shortly before bedtime as they are a known stimulant.

One should not use alcohol as a sleep assist. Most of the people think that a drink will slack them to sleep but alcohol only gives broken or disturbed sleep. This is true because many people drinking alcohol prior to bed need to get up several times throughout the night, and only feel the sleepy effect of the depressant for a couple hours. How to cure insomnia is answered only if drinks taken in moderation.

One of the ways to cure insomnia is to exercise to amend the sleeping habits but don’t do it too tight to bedtime because it makes the heart rate up makes one to be awake.

Stop consuming food two or three hour’s before bedtime. Don’t consume large meals right before going to bed. It upsets the digestive tract, which will cause one more troubles. If you are unable to avoid have an evening snack, try to include warm milk or foods like turkey, cashews, or yogurt that contain trytophan. Another suggestion would be to quit drinking water at the end of dinner. In other words, drink any fluids prior to dinner so you do not need to get up during the night to urinate.

Avoid sleeping during the day if one isn’t sleeping at night. This only gets the body in the habit of sleeping during the daytime and sleeping for short period, instead of a healthy seven or eight hour night.

Switch off the TV and the computer all but 30 minutes before bedtime as their light mimes the strength of sunlight and can keep one awake. Instead, do something relaxing like reading, meditating, or doing some deep-breathing exercises. A warm bath or hearing to calming music can also be restful.

Keep steady bedtime and awakening hours. This will train your body to be ready for sleep at bedtime and ready to wake at your normal get up time. These are some of the methods which answer how to cure insomnia.
