Avoid Caffeine to Cure Your Tinnitus

Are you aware that even the kinds of food you consume can cause your tinnitus to worsen or improve? Reports show that many tinnitus sufferers report worse symptoms after ingesting caffeine. Find out why caffeine is a problem and how to avoid it.

Like most tinnitus sufferers, you’ve probably heard that you shouldn’t drink coffee or soda. That’s because they contain caffeine. Caffeine stimulates your nervous system. This has been shown to increase tinnitus symptoms for many people.

The rush then crash cycle that people go through when they’re sensitive to caffeine affects their mood, which has an indirect effect on the ringing in their ears. Caffeine is also a vasoconstrictor. That means it constricts blood vessels. And reduced blood flow to your ears can cause or increase tinnitus symptoms.

Unfortunately, this makes it clear that you need to avoid caffeinated drinks like coffee, tea, and soda if you want to reduce the ringing in your ears. But these aren’t the only sources of caffeine in your life. As you might imagine, energy drinks are full of caffeine and other stimulants, which means you really need to steer clear of them. Unfortunately, these aren’t the only sources.

Do you like sweets? Well, I’m sorry to tell you this, but both chocolate and cocoa contain caffeine. Sometimes a lot of it. This isn’t as much as the drinks we’ve talked about before, but if you are sensitive to it, this could be enough to cause problems. This means you shouldn’t simply switch from coffee to hot chocolate in the mornings. And it means you should swear off chocolaty products like candy bars of many cakes. Sorry.

This is only a partial list of the caffeine sources, some of which you would never expect, that you want to avoid if you’re serious about curing your tinnitus. Fortunately, while there are certain foods you should avoid, there are also a number of foods that can actually help with your problem. In a holistic approach to a tinnitus treatment, even the foods you eat become part of the program.

But those aren’t the only causes of problems. A number of other foods and drinks have been shown to increase (or reduce) some people’s tinnitus problems. The pages of Tinnitus Miracle contain loads of information on which foods you need to avoid. It’s part of the holistic approach to eliminating the noises that plague you.
