The idea of snoring causes people to laugh and seems funny until you actually try to sleep with a snorer every night. Then it becomes very annoying. That is why finding a cure to stop the snoring is so important. Here are some techniques and method that will stop snoring: When there is blockage in the breathing passage, specially around the throat area, it causes snoring .The reason for this blockage could be attributed to several factors, like tensed throat, wrong positioned jaw, or stuffed nosed. But the breathing can be made normal again, once the tension in the throat is released by taking several deep breaths. At times the person tries to breathe through his mouth because of nasal congestion and this again induces snoring. Consumption of decongestants will remove the blockage and the person will get relief from snoring. Once the allergy, resulting in the enlargement of adenoids is cured, eventually snoring also stops. Obesity is a major cause of snoring. The resulting concentration of fat in the airways limits the free intake of oxygen. Extra pounds around the stomach lead to diaphragm restriction, a major factor in snoring. Approximately 40% of those classified as obese are snorers. A sensible program of diet and exercise will not only reduce the many health risks associated with obesity, it will also reduce the incidence of snoring. Poor sleeping positions also lead to snoring. The use of multiple pillows often restricts air passages. Using only one pillow often solves this problem. Those who sleep on their backs are also prone to snore. A simple shift in one’s sleeping position is often the antidote. Smoking and alcohol consumption both contribute to the onset of snoring, and the medical problems that arise from these habits also because snoring. Cessation or reduction of smoking and/or alcohol can often be the best snoring cures, since this healthy habit will help to readjust the sleeper’s sleep patterns. There are two periods of sleep: Stage 1 sleep is that period generally experienced as “drifting off”. Poor sleep is often characterized by repeated returns to Stage 1 sleep. REM sleep is the deepest sleep experienced and that stage of human sleep in which dreams occur. Both stages often trigger the irregular breathing that leads to snoring and poor sleep in general. Congestion-causing mucus can make it hard for you to sleep (or hard for others, as you snore). Flush out the mucus with store-bought saltwater nasal drops or create your own. Mix 8 ounces of sterilized water with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and let it cool to about 98 degrees. Put the solution in a nose dropper. But if the snoring is brought on by some other serious issue like sleep apnea or enlarged tonsils or adenoids, surgical methods such as Laser Assisted Uvula Palatoplasty, or LAUP; or Radio Frequency Tissue Ablation, known as RFTA; or even somnoplasty may be used. That’s why it’s vital to find out the origin of the snoring before doing anything about it. If you need to know how to stop snoring then all you should to is to follow the tips that is given above and you will soon find relief. More from This SitePossibly Related Posts:
