A Simple Daily Supplement that Could Help Prevent Breast Cancer
Filed Under (Uncategorized) by jeandit

All women want to be able to prevent breast cancer. Breast cancer is one of the biggest killers of women each year. Every year researchers spend so much money trying to find a cure for breast cancer. Naturally, the best way of staying safe is to try to take every step possible to prevent breast cancer.

Around 1993, there were studies published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute that indicate there could be a link between omega 3 fatty acids and the prevention of breast cancer. The results aren’t conclusive as of yet, but many more studies have come out also indicating this connection. Fish and flax oils both have high concentrates of omega 3 fatty acids. They contribute to the health of your heart and are anti-inflammatory compounds. The thing that could be helping to prevent breast cancer is its anti-inflammatory nature.

Omega 3s in your diet generally come from fish or flax seeds. You could have a moderate omega 3 deficiency if you don’t really eat fish or flax seed. This can really be harmful to some parts of your health. This can create serious cardiovascular problems or depression. In addition, it can interfere with your immune system and make you more sensitive to auto-immune issues like arthritis, some forms of diabetes and some types of migraines.

The auto-immune issue is where researchers are tend to believe that omega 3s can also contribute to breast cancer prevention. Since cancers are caused when cells literally go “haywire,†an anti-inflammatory agent could play a role in calming cells down. Cancer could be avoided if the cell doesn’t get the chance to actually start dividing uncontrollably.

Most people trying to prevent cancer will start taking a daily omega 3 supplement. At the least they are really contributing to many facets of their health like heart health and memory functions. The evidence is not set in stone on whether or not omega 3 supplements can really help to prevent cancer, but it really is smart to be prepared.
