For some time now, we have been learning about the many roles of vitamins in our body mechanisms. Their necessary role in our survival and vigorous body is something that we just can’t overlook and thus, there rises a need to understand them in more depth for a better knowledge and thus a better body. When we talk about the vitamins we contain both its kinds, namely the water soluble vitamins and the fat soluble vitamins. However, here below we try to converge more on the help of the water soluble vitamins on our body.

The water soluble vitamins basically include of the vitamin c and the other vital vitamin B complexes such as the B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B12, B6 (pyridoxine), niacin, pantothenic acid etc. These water soluble vitamins when in their regular state are not active but instead need to be set off and thus converted into their coenzyme state so as to perform their assorted functions. Moreover, as they are water soluble, they can’t be stored into our body and thus need to be devoured regularly through the vitamin sources such as the green leafy vegetables, fruits, etc.

Every single water soluble vitamin has its own worth and performs a unique function and thus they are all tremendously vital in our body. Most of the vitamins act as coenzymes in our body which further assist in production of energy from the food that we eat daily. The water soluble vitamins are moreover desired in our body to uphold a better appetite, vision, skin and a fit body.

•    Vitamin B1: Also known as Thiamin and its deficiency causes beri beri.

•    Vitamin B2: called as Riboflavin and is an vital antioxidant.

•    Vitamin B3: This vitamin is also called as Niacin and is necessary in upholding a better and healthful heart along with the vigorous blood lipids.

•    Vitamin B5: The Pantothenic acid is needed for the adrenal functioning as well as the Krebs’s cycle.

•   Vitamin B6: The vitamin B6 also entitled as the Pyridoxine is vital for the 100 different enzymatic reactions.

•    Vitamin B12: Also known as cyanocobalamin, the deficiency of this vitamin causes diverse psychological problems like weight loss, weakness, etc.

•    Vitamin C: Ascorbic acid is one of the most necessary vitamins which assists in building collagen and the proper maintenance of the immune system of our body.

•    Folic acid: Generally, the folic acid is not thought as a vitamin but is crucial for the maturation of the red and the white blood cells as well as for the synthesis of DNA.

Thus, without these crucial water soluble vitamins, there is no way that we can uphold our healthy life.
